The daffodil weekends will soon be upon us - Oxenhall are having their celebrations this weekend, 6&7th March with the Dymock festivities due at the end of the month. As yet there are no daffodils in bloom but they are now making good progress with some buds visible. The snow 10 days ago slowed everything right down but the recent sunshine is making everything feel much more springlike. The birds are full of enthusiasm and are singing fit to bust and the chickens are now all back laying! Eggs anyone?!
We turned the first cows out this week much to their delight - they spent most of the day racing around with their tails in the air but have now settled down. Goliath is now a very happy bull as he has just been introduced to some new girlfriends that require his services! Having spent the winter with a group of pregnant cows he can't believe his luck.
