The Three Counties Show has now been and gone. We took the same cows again but this time we managed to win the cow with calf at foot class with Geraldine and her calf Georgie. She then went on to win Reserve Champion Female Aberdeen Angus - needless to say we were over the moon, this was beyond our wildest dreams for our first season of showing!
The next lot of beef calves has now arrived - they look so small and so cute running arround in the barn. I always forget just how small they are when they arrive.
Goliath the bull has been out with the cows for a few weeks which he enjoyed but he'd didn't think much of the rain or the fact that nobody stopped to scratch his back for him! He's now back in again keeping an eye on everything that goes on and persuading people to give him a back rub everytime they go past, if you've met him you'll know just how persuasive he can be!
